How to add a signature to your blog posts **updated!!!**

Here is the finished product of what we are going to achieve in this tutorial:

signature finished product
Open your photo editing program of choice. I'm using Photoshop, but you can use anything. You can download a FREE program called paint.net to your computer, and the coolest thing about it is that it has a lot of the same tools and techniques as Photoshop, but it's free!

Next you're going to open up a new box to work in, and you have to make sure the sizes and resolution are correct. AND if you want your signature to have a clear background behind it, not a white box, you'll want choose the ‚transparent option, as shown below:

Size and Res

Next you'll click on the tool that has the ‚'T' on it, and that will bring up your typing cursor for you to add your choice of text to the image as I have done below:

FONT
Now it's time to have fun! Once you've typed the text that you want, you can play around with font colors, patterns, textures, or add a flourish, flower, or another fun image!  This is YOUR signature, so make it reflect who YOU are! I chose a very simple look, black, with a flourish:

Have Fun With IT!

Now you should note that the way you SAVE this image is very important! If you have a transparent background to work with, then in order to maintain that look, you have to save it as a PNG image. If you have not chosen to use a transparent background, then it's okay to save it as a JPEG.

NEXT, you'll need to upload your image to an image hosting website such as photobucket.com.

Congratulations! You've got a cute signature to work with, now let's apply it to your blog!
